Club Housekeeper – Makena Golf & Beach Club

About the role

The Club Housekeeper will maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment for members and guests at the Makena Golf and Beach Club. Working closely with Residential Services and Club Operations, you will ensure that public areas, amenities, and private residences meet the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key responsibilities

• Clean public areas such as restaurants, restrooms, offices, tennis courts, and surrounding open spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and vents; vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, wax floors, and extract carpets.
• Polish brass, empty trash and recycling, and replenish bathroom amenities.
• Assist with special projects like cleaning wallpaper, upholstery, carpets, doors, windows, screens, and lanais.
• Operate pressure washers, floor machines, and shampoo extractors safely.
• Maintain employee areas, handle laundry and dry‑cleaning, and move furniture for cleaning assignments.
• Respond to guest inquiries, protect member confidentiality, and manage key sign‑in/out.
• Follow safety practices, company policies, and complete duties within an 8‑hour shift.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of housekeeping experience, preferably in a high‑end residential or hospitality setting.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Operation of pressure washers.
• Operation of floor polishing machines.
• Operation of shampoo extractors.
• Knowledge of appropriate cleaning chemicals and safety data sheets.
