Clinical Supervisor & Field Experience Coordinator

About the role

The Clinical Supervisor & Field Experience Coordinator provides direct clinical supervision to graduate counseling students and manages field‑experience placements for the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy programs at Texas A&M University‑Central Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to graduate counseling students in person and via tele‑health in the on‑site training clinic.
• Collaborate with the Director and Assistant Director of the Community Counseling and Family Therapy Center.
• Coordinate field‑experience placements with external sites for the CACREP‑accredited Mental Health Counseling program and the COAMFTE‑accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program.
• Represent the department on university committees and contribute to continuous‑improvement planning.
• Lead the clinic in the absence of senior staff and manage special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (COAMFTE accredited) or a related field.
• At least two years of post‑graduate experience in community mental health, private practice, or a comparable clinical setting.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COAMFTE accreditation standards.
• Ability to supervise graduate students both in‑person and through tele‑health platforms.
• Strong coordination and liaison skills with external internship sites.
