Clinical Pharmacist – Full‑Time

About the role

The University of Miami seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to join its multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this full‑time position you will collaborate with physicians and other providers to optimize medication therapy and improve patient outcomes across a range of clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide drug therapy recommendations, counsel physicians on dosing, safety, and side‑effects.
• Prepare, label, and dispense medications and supplies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of dispensed drugs and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct medication histories, assess patient adherence, and suggest regimen modifications.
• Oversee ordering, inventory, and accountability of medications for sexually transmitted diseases, HIV treatment, vaccines, and long‑acting injectables.
• Support high‑impact clinical services such as PrEP workflows and buy‑and‑bill processes.
• Participate in research initiatives to advance pharmaceutical care and disease prevention.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active Florida Registered Pharmacist license.
• Minimum three years of relevant clinical pharmacy experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
