Clinical Laboratory Technician – On‑site in Iwakuni or Yokosuka, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician to work on‑site for a U.S. Government contract in Japan. The position is available in either Iwakuni or Yokosuka and involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests to support military and federal medical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank.
• Collect patient specimens by venipuncture and prepare slides for microscopic analysis.
• Operate and maintain automated instrumentation and laboratory information systems (CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, CIS).
• Record and report test results, manage specimen transport, and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Participate in quality control programs, CAP accreditation, and compliance with Joint Commission standards.
• Provide training and guidance to supporting government personnel.

Required profile

• Experience performing routine and specialized laboratory tests in a clinical setting.
• Ability to follow strict procedural and regulatory guidelines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and result documentation.
