Clinical Director - Psychiatrist

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Clinical Director to oversee psychiatric care within Georgia’s premier maximum‑security forensic facility. In this position you will direct inpatient treatment and evaluations for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, ensuring high‑quality, continuous care in a secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement long‑term strategic goals and policies for forensic mental health in Georgia.
• Direct delivery of health services to meet Joint Commission and APA standards.
• Lead, mentor, and hire a multidisciplinary team, fostering continuous improvement.
• Manage human resources, participate in budget administration, and integrate diagnostic technology and data‑driven assessments.
• Monitor program effectiveness and adapt strategies to evolving criminal justice and public health needs.

Required profile

• Doctorate degree plus at least 4 years of healthcare management experience.
• Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board and active or eligible licensure in Georgia.
• Board certification in Psychiatry with completion of an ACGME residency.
• Proven track record in a senior‑level psychiatric leadership role, including supervision of other psychiatrists.
• Deep functional knowledge of Joint Commission and APA standards.
