Clinical Director

About the role

Amae Health is seeking a Clinical Director to lead the launch and operation of two new specialty outpatient clinics in Southern Los Angeles and Orange County (Orange and Long Beach, CA). The role involves overseeing care delivery teams, programs, and systems across both locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary care teams—including psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, dietitians, and community health workers—across two new clinics.
• Oversee clinical programs and operational systems to ensure coordinated, longitudinal care for patients with severe mental illness.
• Maintain manageable caseloads and support clinicians in practicing at the top of their license.
• Collaborate with partner health systems and contribute to outcomes frameworks and research initiatives.
• Ensure the sustainability of the team‑based care model through thoughtful infrastructure and workflow design.

Required profile

• Experience working in partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), inpatient psychiatry, or community mental health settings.
• Deep understanding of the limitations of traditional mental‑health delivery models.
• Proven ability to lead and integrate multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and advancing care for severe mental illness.
