Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor & Director of Simulation Education

About the role

Tarleton State University seeks a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor who will also serve as the CHCP Director of Simulation Education within the College of Health & Clinical Professions. This 12‑month, clinical‑track faculty position combines teaching, research, and leadership of simulation‑based learning across campus and online environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in health professions.
• Lead the simulation education program, including curriculum design, equipment management, and faculty training.
• Engage in scholarly research and scholarly activities related to simulation and clinical education.
• Provide service to the college, university, and professional community through committees and outreach.
• Collaborate with multiple campus locations and adopt approved instructional modalities.

Required profile

• Terminal degree (Ph.D., DPT, Ed.D., or equivalent) in a health‑related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in simulation‑based education and curriculum development.
• Record of scholarly productivity, including peer‑reviewed publications and presentations.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching, mentorship, and service.
