Clinical Assistant – Medical Assistant, LPN, or RN

About the role

Dermatology Associates of West Michigan is looking for a dependable Clinical Assistant to support providers in a fast‑moving dermatology practice. The role involves hands‑on patient care, documentation, and coordination of examinations and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain and document accurate medical histories, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers during examinations, diagnostic services, and in‑office dermatology procedures, including obtaining consents and handling laboratory specimens.
• Provide patient education, communicate results and treatment instructions, and document pathology findings.
• Schedule appointments, respond to phone calls, portal messages, and maintain clean, well‑stocked examination rooms.

Required profile

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, or an active Michigan LPN or RN license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification at hire or within six months.
• Strong communication skills and accurate documentation ability in an electronic medical record.
• Preferred: two years of dermatology experience, though candidates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
