Class A CDL Driver - Linen Delivery

About the role

NOVO Health Services, which provides linen management solutions to hospitals and healthcare facilities, is hiring a full-time Class A CDL driver based in St. Louis. The driver delivers finished products and picks up soiled products at customer locations (hospitals and healthcare facilities) and represents the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Key responsibilities

• Safely load and unload carts to transport them to and from customers.
• Follow designated routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service and update customers on delivery status.
• Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws.
• Follow DOT, OSHA and other federal, state and local requirements.
• Maintain the vehicle through preventative maintenance, cleaning and disinfecting after each trip.

Required profile

• Class A CDL license; clean driving record, including a 7-year motor vehicle report.
• Previous driving experience required; 2 to 3 years in manufacturing, production or service preferred.
• High school education, GED or formal training preferred.
• Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment and in various weather conditions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds, and to push or pull a 300-400 pound cart for up to 60 yards.

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new applications.
• Analytical skills to estimate the number of carts needed per order.
