Certified Pharmacy Technician I

About the role

University Health Services at Texas A&M University is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician I to support medication preparation and pharmacy operations for the student health center.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders and assist pharmacists with medication-related inquiries.
• Receive, stock, and manage pharmaceutical inventory, including expiration checks and disposal of outdated items.
• Provide customer service to patients in person and by phone, and support scheduling and training of student workers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of pharmacy technician experience (two years preferred).
• Current Certified Pharmacy Technician license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to handle confidential PII and PHI in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA regulations.

Required skills

• Medication preparation and dispensing.
