Certified Nursing Assistant – Skilled Nursing Facility (Gracewood Campus)

About the role

The State of Georgia is expanding its Skilled Nursing Facility at the Gracewood Campus. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care, support nursing staff, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned direct‑care activities and basic nursing procedures with minimal supervision.
• Assist nursing staff in assessing patients' physical and mental conditions according to policies.
• Communicate individualized nursing care plans and help implement them when needed.
• Complete required documentation in patient and unit records accurately and promptly.
• Follow infection‑control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Maintain current CNA certification and comply with state background‑check requirements.
• Take vital signs, record weights, and collect specimens as directed by the treatment plan.
• Provide training and guidance to patients on activities of daily living to promote independence.
• Utilize proper body mechanics during patient care to prevent injury to both staff and residents.
• May supervise junior staff or assist with orientation of new team members.

Required profile

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• At least two (2) years of experience as a Nursing Assistant (Nursing Asst 2) or equivalent.
• Ability to work under broad supervision while delivering high‑quality direct patient care.
