CDL‑A City Delivery Driver – Local Routes

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) drivers for its Pacoima, CA service center. Drivers will handle local freight deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day while enjoying a home‑every‑night schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑wide delivery and pickup of freight with multiple stops per shift.
• Use scanning equipment to track loads and interact directly with customers.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable recent experience.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military‑to‑civilian transition criteria).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.
• Dependable attendance and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Electric pallet jack operation.
• Scanning equipment usage.
