CDL‑A City Delivery Driver – Local Routes

About the role

R+L Carriers is hiring CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) drivers for its Scranton, PA service center. Drivers will handle local freight deliveries and pickups, returning to the terminal each day while interacting directly with customers and using scanning equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city‑wide delivery and pickup of freight with multiple stops per shift.
• Operate scanning equipment to track loads and verify deliveries.
• Execute lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Maintain safe operation of the truck and equipment throughout the workday.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military‑to‑civilian transition criteria).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.

Required skills

• CDL Class A driving proficiency.
