Category Manager – Beverage & Retail

About the role

The Category Manager will lead the implementation of category management strategies, plans and programs with key accounts, focusing on beer, spirits and wine shelf schematics for both new and existing retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present shelf schematics, floor layouts, endcaps, and planograms for key independent and chain accounts.
• Analyze brand trends and sales data (Nielsen, IRI, depletion) to create actionable recommendations that improve category sales.
• Partner with sales teams and retailers to identify opportunities, develop proposals, and support sales calls.
• Maintain category analytics, reference files, and space‑planning libraries across regions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in beverage alcohol or CPG industry, with at least 3 years in category management.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, Access, Power Pivot and Power BI.
• Proficiency with JDA/Prospace and other retail planning software.
• Experience using syndicated and POS data sources such as Nielsen and IRI.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite and presentation tools.
