Category Maintenance Excellence Manager – Health Science

About the role

The Category Maintenance Excellence Manager (Health Science) will implement Maintenance Foundations and NAOOMI elements for assigned categories, acting as a key liaison between Category Engineering, Nestlé Nutrition & Health Hub Engineering, Manufacturing Excellence, and factory teams. The role involves coaching factories to execute Nestlé’s maintenance strategy at optimal cost, with remote or hybrid work options.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, improve, and implement the Category Maintenance strategy to meet category goals.
• Provide regular performance reporting to Corporate Engineering, Technical & Production leadership and global maintenance organizations.
• Align maintenance initiatives with Nestlé Continuous Excellence and global requirements.
• Build credibility with factory personnel, ensuring effective competency development and alignment with strategy.
• Manage Maintenance and Innovation budgets, ensuring reliable equipment performance at optimal cost.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Medical, Chemical, Electrical or Feed Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• 6‑7+ years of experience in a maintenance function or factory engineering, preferably in CPG, nutraceuticals or health‑science manufacturing.
• 1+ years of people‑leadership experience, including hiring, training and coaching maintenance or engineering teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience using SAP systems and end‑to‑end project management.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as MS Copilot or Claude to enhance processes.
