Case Worker – Refugee Support (PRIME Program)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a dedicated Case Worker to support vulnerable refugee households under the PRIME (Promoting Refugee Mobility and Empowerment) program in Spokane. You will provide strengths‑based, client‑centered case management to help clients overcome barriers to self‑sufficiency and access essential health and social services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the ICM team to identify and address additional healthcare needs of vulnerable clients.
• Attend internal and partner meetings as assigned.
• Assist clients in navigating healthcare systems, public benefits, educational institutions, and other public services, including scheduling and attending appointments.
• Develop and distribute self‑sufficiency guides tailored to each client’s goals.
• Help clients select appropriate community resources, schedule initial appointments, and build confidence in managing their own care.
• Conduct regular outreach to healthcare providers and social service agencies to remove service barriers and identify new resources.
• Provide ongoing support from 90 days up to five years after arrival, focusing on mobility and empowerment.

• Passionate, solutions‑driven individual committed to humanitarian impact.
• Experience working with refugees, survivors of gender‑based violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, or other vulnerable populations.
• Strong client‑centered, strengths‑based approach to case management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
