Career Services Coordinator

About the role

The Career Services Coordinator supports student success by delivering career development and workforce‑readiness services, linking students with employment and work‑based learning opportunities, and fostering relationships with employers and community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide career counseling, job‑search assistance, application support, interview preparation, and employment readiness training.
• Connect students to internships, work‑based learning, and other career‑related opportunities.
• Design and deliver professional‑skills workshops covering communication, teamwork, leadership, customer service, time management, and conflict resolution.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local employers, industry groups, and community organizations to identify workforce needs and expand opportunities.
• Represent the college at community, industry, career, and recruitment events, providing prospective students with information about programs, admissions, and career pathways.
• Travel throughout the service area to conduct outreach, recruitment, and engagement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of career services activities, employer outreach, and student interactions.

Required profile

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in career services, workforce development, student services, facilitation, or related fields.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and customer‑service abilities.
• Self‑directed, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel within the service area and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
