About the role
We are seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified MD/DO to join the Cardiovascular Surgery division at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on a contractual basis. The physician will deliver high‑quality surgical care to adult patients, contribute to medical education, and engage in collaborative research initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Perform cardiovascular surgical procedures and provide comprehensive peri‑operative patient care.
- Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with faculty on research projects and translational studies.
- Contribute to the division’s academic mission and promote health and wellness initiatives for the community.
Required profile
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate licensure to practice in the United States.
- Eligibility for board certification in Cardiovascular Surgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and research.
