Cardiology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

This full‑time position provides advanced cardiac care in a collaborative environment, working with residents, fellows, attendings and staff in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The role reports to the Medical Director and partners with nurses, discharge coordinators and other providers to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize approved medical practice processes to deliver patient care in both clinic and inpatient settings.
• Provide primary and urgent medical management, including emergency stabilization of critically ill patients.
• Teach residents, medical students, and staff; develop educational programs and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, discharge coordinators, and other team members to plan and evaluate care.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in nursing OR a Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related health sciences, and graduation from an approved PA program.
• At least one year of relevant clinical experience.
• Current state license as an APRN (for NP) or as a Physician Assistant, with NCCPA certification for PA.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification and eligibility for prescriptive authority.

Required skills

• Computer data entry and retrieval skills using Windows‑style applications.
• Proficiency with standard office software and electronic health record systems.
• Knowledge of Advanced Practice Provider policies and protocols.
