About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Campus Police Officer to join the Georgia Piedmont Technical College team. This position provides an opportunity to ensure safety and order on a technical college campus while serving the broader community of over 10 million Georgia residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a full range of assigned law‑enforcement duties to maintain security and order on the campus.
• Patrol campus grounds, buildings, and parking areas to deter and respond to incidents.
• Enforce college policies, state laws, and regulations.
• Investigate reports, gather evidence, and prepare detailed incident reports.
• Collaborate with college administration, students, and local authorities to address safety concerns.
• Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.

Required profile

• Eligibility to serve as a police officer in the State of Georgia.
• Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical fitness and the capacity to perform duties that may require standing, walking, and lifting.
• Strong judgment, integrity, and commitment to public safety.
