About the role
The Business Manager will support the community manager in overseeing the financial operations of the Aster & Links high‑rise community. This role involves handling daily accounting tasks, rent collection, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for a 424‑unit property during its lease‑up phase.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Prepare financial reports, process invoices, purchase orders, and payables.
- Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate balances, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Handle eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation.
- Process resident move‑outs, apply appropriate charges, and manage deposit dispositions.
- Verify and process vendor invoices, set up new vendors, and resolve payment disputes.
- Generate various financial, accounting, and administrative reports as needed.
Required profile
- Experience supporting community or property managers in financial tasks.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly with residents and vendors.
- Attention to detail in reviewing invoices and reconciling accounts.
- Familiarity with eviction and move‑out procedures.
