Business Management Director

About the role

The Business Management Director provides strategic direction for the Business Management team, partners with sales and business units, and drives revenue, margin, and market‑share objectives for Applied Materials.

Key responsibilities

• Provides strategic direction for the Business Management team and may manage managers for multiple customers and regions.
• Acts as the primary interface between sales and the business unit, responsible for forecasting, booking, revenue and gross‑margin commitments.
• Formulates and drives division strategy for assigned accounts and regions, achieving specific market‑share goals.
• Leads pricing strategy, complex negotiations, and participates in large‑order committees, providing pricing margin and scorecard details.
• Manages and develops managers and employees within the Business Management organization, overseeing multiple projects and programs.

Required profile

• Demonstrates a broad and comprehensive understanding of systems, theories, and business practices.
• Leads through subordinate managers, executes segment/functional business plans, and contributes to strategy development.
• Directs resolution of highly complex business problems using advanced analytical judgment.
• Negotiates and influences senior executives and external organizations, exercising sensitivity to audience.

What we offer

• Salary range: $189,000 – $260,000 (target total cash) with bonus and stock award potential.
