Bus Driver & Custodian for Kennett High School

About the role

The position involves driving a school bus to transport pre‑school students to Head Start locations in Kennett and maintaining a clean, safe environment on the bus and at the center. The driver will also be responsible for securing the vehicle and providing custodial assistance when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Transport children and staff safely to designated locations.
• Perform daily safety and mechanical checks before each route.
• Maintain the bus interior and exterior in a clean and healthful condition.
• Secure the vehicle at all times and ensure proper mechanical upkeep.
• Assist with loading and unloading of children.
• Provide custodial assistance within the center as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3‑6 months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CDL (Class A or B) with passenger endorsement valid in Missouri.
• Minimum age of 25 years as required by the insurance provider.
• Proof of degree (diploma or official transcript) to be presented at interview.
