About the role
The Building Supervisor on the 3rd shift leads the production team during night hours, ensuring efficient operations and meeting output targets. This role provides supervision, guidance and support to team leaders and operators in a manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce and improve safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards, applying 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
- Allocate labor according to fluctuating orders and set production priorities.
- Guide staff on handbook policies, absenteeism, conduct and discipline.
- Oversee accurate record‑keeping of scrap, traceability, downtime, rejects and control‑plan checks.
- Manage handling of non‑conforming material and promptly report issues that affect production.
- Develop alternative strategies to overcome production obstacles.
- Coordinate with other shifts to achieve weekly production goals.
- Ensure operators receive adequate training for flexible labor allocation.
- Support maintenance of training records and skill matrices for assembly lines.
- Conduct regular audits (quality, workstation, 5S, operator).
Required profile
- Two‑year degree or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing/assembly.
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations.
- Ability to act as a member of the management team and support department objectives.
- Coaching and mentoring skills for associates on the production floor.
