About the role
The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College seeks an Industrial and Advanced Manufacturing Training Specialist to design and deliver hands‑on training programs that meet the needs of local industry. The role supports the Business and Industry Center by providing technical instruction, coordinating events, and ensuring a safe learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and teach specialized courses covering industrial maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, motor control, industrial electricity, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other advanced manufacturing topics.
- Assist in planning and delivering Business and Industry Center classes, outreach events, and off‑campus training sessions, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Maintain laboratory safety, oversee tools and equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with internal college departments, external workforce‑development agencies, and industry partners to align curriculum with current workforce needs.
- Pursue relevant certifications and professional development to stay current in the field.
Required profile
- Experience in industrial maintenance theory and practice.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motor control, industrial electricity, and PLC systems.
- Ability to design curriculum and deliver technical instruction to adult learners.
- Strong collaboration skills with academic, industry, and community stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
