Bringup Engineer

About the role

Waabi is a leader in Physical AI, developing technology for autonomous trucks and robotaxis. The company is expanding its Pittsburgh team and seeks a Bringup Engineer to support vehicle and component integration and debugging.

Key responsibilities

• Lead vehicle and component bring‑up and provide R&D support.
• Troubleshoot and root‑cause software and hardware faults across multiple autonomous‑vehicle platforms.
• Develop and execute on‑vehicle test plans to verify functional and interface requirements.
• Document bring‑up processes and debugging steps to streamline future work.
• Collaborate with engineering, OEMs, and cross‑functional teams to improve driver performance and testing efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience debugging complex systems, preferably in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with automotive cameras.
• Sensor data acquisition, processing, and analysis techniques.
• Signal processing, statistics, and machine‑learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages.
