Brewery Maintenance Technician

About the role

Our Maintenance Technicians work alongside production teams in a high-speed brewery to improve equipment reliability and ensure top-quality beer. The role involves both autonomous and team-based work on a variety of brewing machinery, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders, troubleshoot, maintain and repair 480‑V, 3‑phase equipment to minimize downtime.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery, overhaul gearboxes, replace bearings, bushings, valves, pumps and hydraulic components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment, variable speed drives, and process instrumentation.
• Interpret schematics and equipment manuals, adhere to safety and sanitation SOPs, and use SAP for maintenance documentation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 + years of industrial mechanical/electrical experience (or two‑year technical degree).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team with diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of safety policies (lockout/tagout, confined space) and 5S standards.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist continuously and lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting (ControlLogix, PLC5, Siemens PCS7).
• Mechanical maintenance: bearing, chain, motor, gearbox, valve and pump replacement.
• Hydraulic, pneumatic and drive installation/parameterization (Siemens MM4, Allen Bradley).
• Instrumentation calibration and process control.
• SAP and CMMS usage; Microsoft Excel proficiency.
