Operating Engineer

About the role

Our Supply group is responsible for brewing, packaging and shipping the iconic Budweiser beer, as well as managing aluminum can production, barley and hop farms, and a rice mill. The Operating Engineer ensures the reliable operation of all brewery utility systems while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate brewery utilities including steam, CO₂ collection, ammonia refrigeration, dehumidification, compressed air and water systems.
• Perform boiler water and cooling‑tower water chemical treatment.
• Handle process management, basic maintenance, lubrication, housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• Document shift activities and respond to any incidents.
• Assist other departments with utility system optimization or isolation as needed.
• Work weekends and overtime, including scheduled days off, in a food‑processing environment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Engineer license.
• Familiarity with automated process control systems.
• Basic computer skills and a positive, self‑motivated attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.
