Brand Designer – Social Media

About the role

Okta’s Brand and Creative team is seeking a Brand Designer, Social Media to own and shape the visual voice across its social platforms, from LinkedIn to YouTube. As the first dedicated creative hire for social, you will set the standard for how Okta appears in the feed, turning complex identity and security narratives into engaging, shareable content.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design for Okta’s organic social channels, delivering concepts to published assets in static, carousel and feed‑first formats.
• Build and evolve recurring creative formats that translate business initiatives into channel‑native content quickly.
• Translate the “Okta Secures AI” story into visually compelling ideas that capture attention and drive engagement.
• Design assets for the social advocacy program, enabling employees and partners to share Okta content at scale.
• Partner with the video team to create high‑impact YouTube thumbnails, playlist art and supporting visuals.
• Test new formats, analyse performance and turn successful experiments into repeatable best practices.
• Present creative direction to stakeholders and mentor other designers contributing to social.
• Stay ahead of platform changes and feed trends, bringing relevant opportunities to the team.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to create social‑first designs that stop the scroll and drive engagement.
• Strong visual storytelling sense, especially for senior, technical audiences.
• Ability to balance brand consistency with cultural relevance and speed of execution.
• Comfort presenting concepts to stakeholders and guiding junior designers.
