Board Operator - Radio Programming

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a Board Operator in Myrtle Beach, SC. As a Board Operator you keep the station's broadcasts running smoothly and sounding great, ensuring every show, ad and moment reaches the audience clearly. The position is regular, part-time and paid hourly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing and compliance with FCC regulations.
• Coordinate with talent, producers and traffic teams for smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
• Record, edit and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Respect for others, open communication, strong problem-solving skills, efficiency with independent work and commitment to process improvement.

Required skills

• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
