Board Operator (Broadcast)

About the role

iHeartMedia, the largest audio company in America, is hiring a Board Operator in Pleasantville, NJ. The operator keeps broadcasts running smoothly and sounding great, ensuring every show, ad and moment reaches the audience clearly. The position is part-time and regular.

Key responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing and compliance with FCC regulations
• Coordinate with talent, producers and traffic teams for smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed
• Record, edit and load audio content for playback using automation systems
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Respect for others, ability to follow standardized procedures and escalate when needed, and close attention to detail

Required skills

• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition)
• Strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

What we offer

• Pay of $15.92 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience, knowledge and market data
