Board Certified Gastroenterologist – Competitive Salary

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its growing GI group in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Physicians from residency training or with post‑training experience are welcome to apply. You will work alongside two established gastroenterologists in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform approximately 10 endoscopic procedures and see 10‑12 clinic patients each day.
• Participate in a 4‑day workweek schedule with half‑day clinic and half‑day procedures.
• Cover on‑call duties on a 1:4 rotation, one week at a time (Monday‑Monday), with the ability to schedule additional procedures on call Fridays.
• Maintain high‑quality patient care, documentation, and coordination with ER physicians.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Open to candidates directly from residency or with established practice experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in emergency medicine settings.
