About the role
Technician shall prepare blade components and surfaces for painting and perform the painting of the components and airframes in accordance with Airbus manufacturer procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare all surfaces for paint by sanding, masking, filling, washing and dent removal; apply corrosive preventative treatments, primers and finish coats.
- Mix and tint paint, layout paint schemes, apply paint materials, and complete aircraft for customer acceptance with brush touch‑up, cleaning, striping and overspray removal.
- Maintain daily documentation including timesheets, discrepancy sheets, tool‑box audit sheets and complete all required forms and records.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum six years of painting and paint preparation on metal and composite/fiberglass aircraft components, recognized as an expert in aircraft blade paint.
- Authorized to work in the United States; no security clearance required.
- Ability to train and mentor team members and handle high‑volume workloads.
Required skills
- Proficiency with technical manuals for paint requirements on French and German blade components.
- Paint mixing and tinting expertise.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- SAP.
