Biologics Operator II – 3rd Shift

About the role

Join AbbVie’s biologics manufacturing team to produce bulk biologic products on the 3rd shift. You will perform cleaning, sterilization, process testing, and support qualification and validation activities while working in both aseptic and non‑aseptic environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment such as tanks, autoclaves, filtration systems, washers, filter‑integrity testers and pH meters.
• Conduct equipment setup and cleaning cycles (CIP, PT, SIP) following established procedures.
• Manufacture bulk biologics in Media & Buffer Formulation, Inoculum/Fermentation, and Capture/Purification areas.
• Inspect equipment and facilities, monitor critical parameters, and report deviations.
• Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot equipment, and verify material availability.
• Document batch records, collect samples, and ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs and EHS policies.

Required profile

• Associate Degree in Science, Mechanics, Electricity, Instrumentation or a related field.
• No prior experience required; basic laboratory techniques and mechanical/math skills are needed.
• Basic knowledge of computerized systems (Delta V, MES, SAP preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Operation of manufacturing equipment (tanks, autoclaves, filtration systems, washers).
• Execution of CIP/PT/SIP cleaning cycles.
• Filter‑integrity testing and pH measurement.
• Use of Delta V, MES and SAP (preferred).
