BIM Coordinator

About the role

Woolpert is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join its Design & Digital Technology team in Chicago. Reporting to the BIM Manager, you will help drive BIM execution across architecture, MEP, and structural disciplines, ensuring models are accurate, organized, and coordinated.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate BIM activities, including model organization, cleanup, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain Revit models and related tools in line with company standards.
• Support the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination across A/E disciplines and lead BIM coordination meetings.
• Enforce BIM standards, perform model audits, and conduct quality checks.
• Assist junior staff with training and mentoring.
• Develop workflows, schedules, and coordination strategies.
• Model from LiDAR scans and CAD backgrounds, staying current with emerging BIM technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a design‑technology or BIM‑focused role.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and BIM collaboration platforms.
• Deep understanding of Autodesk Cloud Services and BIM workflows.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and knowledge of BIM standards.
• Fluency in point‑cloud modeling and experience with complex building projects.
• Autodesk/BIM certifications are a plus.
