Bilingual Program Assistant – Middle School Alliance

About the role

The Middle School Alliance (MSA) Bilingual Program Assistant supports after‑school programming at River City Middle School. Working evenings Monday‑Thursday, the assistant helps with student sign‑in, snack distribution, dismissal, family communication and event coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the MSA Coordinator with student sign‑in, enforce program and school rules, and manage snack distribution.
• Support dismissal procedures, site transitions, and transportation logistics.
• Help recruit and enroll students, communicate schedules and attendance expectations to families, and promote inclusive access to opportunities.
• Gather feedback from youth, families, providers and school staff to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, youth‑centered environment and promptly report safety concerns.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in youth development, education, after‑school or community‑based programming.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Experience working with middle‑school youth or school communities is strongly preferred.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with students, families, teachers and partners.
