Bilingual Medical Billing Services Specialist

About the role

The Medical Billing Services Specialist maintains a timely revenue cycle by collecting payments for all goods provided by Atos Medical. This role handles collection activities at all levels of delinquency up to charge‑off and supports reimbursement from insurance payers and private‑pay customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and handle incoming calls regarding patient statements, billing, claims, denials and other reimbursement matters.
• Investigate escalated billing inquiries, resolve invoice discrepancies, and route insurance and claim issues to the appropriate staff.
• Communicate insurance coverage details, out‑of‑pocket responsibilities, deductibles and coinsurance to customers.
• Resolve billing complaints, grant adjustments, and manage hold accounts.
• Locate delinquent accounts and arrange repayment schedules based on customers' financial situations.
• Collect on accounts via phone, email, fax, mail or online portals and follow up with collection agencies as needed.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, monitor collection dashboards, and generate daily reports.
• Enter accurate data on payer requirements, submit daily claims, and ensure compliance with payer documentation.
• Perform account audits, ensure proper revenue recognition, and resolve unbilled revenue issues.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare administration, financial or insurance customer service, claims, billing, or call‑center environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
• Strong decision‑making, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer‑service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, collection laws, regulations and techniques.
