Bilingual Debt Collection Specialist (English/Spanish)

About the role

A client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Bilingual Debt Collection Specialist who can use expert negotiation skills and fluency in English and Spanish to manage high-volume accounts and maximize debt recovery in a professional remote setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST, with a 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week).

Key responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of debt collection accounts efficiently and on time.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, resolve disputes and recover outstanding debts.
• Communicate with clients and debtors clearly and persuasively in English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
• Represent the firm professionally and adhere to industry regulations and ethical standards.
• Record all communications and account activity accurately in the system.

Required profile

• Proven experience in debt collection, preferably in a legal firm, accounting office or other professional services setting.
• Fully fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Comfortable working with the video camera on during the entire shift.
• Expert negotiator with a track record of successful negotiations and the ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully.
• Results-oriented, able to manage a demanding workload and meet collection targets.
