Bilingual Case Manager – Region 8 (Del Rio & Eagle Pass)

About the role

The Bilingual Case Manager supports children in foster care across Region 8 (Del Rio & Eagle Pass) for Divinity Family Services. The role provides trauma‑informed, Trust‑Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) care, coordinating with foster families, courts, schools and health providers to ensure each child’s safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly home visits, assess child needs, and develop supportive relationships with foster families and treatment teams.
• Serve as education liaison: attend ARD meetings, advocate for special services, and monitor school progress.
• Attend judicial hearings, document observations, and report any suspected abuse or neglect.
• Develop and implement individualized Service Plans, ensuring all parties are informed and goals are tracked.
• Coordinate health, dental, and behavioral appointments, maintaining accurate records across systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a related field.
• Experience working with at‑risk families or children in foster care (paid or volunteer).
• Valid Texas driver’s license and successful completion of background and drug screenings.
• Ability to travel within a 150‑mile radius and provide on‑call, evening or weekend coverage.

Required skills

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Knowledge of TBRI and trauma‑informed care practices.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
