Bicycle Service Writer

About the role

Join a family of bike stores dedicated to building better cyclists and using bicycles as a force for good. As the primary service advisor, you will act as the liaison between customers and mechanics, ensuring a smooth, organized, and customer‑focused service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service scheduling, write work orders, and communicate equipment condition to customers.
• Oversee workflow, staffing, and KPIs for the service department.
• Handle customer inquiries, set expectations, and support mechanics with administrative duties.
• Provide unbiased advice, recommend repairs, and assist the sales team with consultative selling.
• Maintain product knowledge, assist with large accessory installations, and communicate inventory needs.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for bicycles and a customer‑centric attitude.
• Positive, team‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Reliability, ability to follow directions, and capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Two+ years of bike mechanic experience and physical ability to lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Experience using Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive).
