Job description

About the role

An architectural building products manufacturer, represented by Kimmel & Associates, is looking for an Interiors Sales Manager to lead the growth of its interior architectural panel products across the United States and Canada. The role reports to the National Sales Manager and acts as the primary resource for interior products, building demand through specification sales, architect and designer relationships and independent sales representative partnerships. It is based in Atlanta, GA, with relocation preference and regular travel of about a couple of days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the interior product line across the US and Canada, setting revenue and specification targets.
  • Serve as the company's primary interiors expert, giving product knowledge and sales leadership to internal teams and partners.
  • Train and support independent sales representatives on product applications, differentiators and selling strategies.
  • Build relationships with architects and interior designers through presentations, lunch-and-learns and AIA continuing education programs.
  • Identify target design firms, specifiers and strategic projects, then manage specified opportunities through bidding, subcontractor engagement and project award.
  • Coordinate with Atlanta-based technical and logistics teams on samples, submittals, availability and lead times for products made in Europe.
  • Represent the product line at trade shows, design events and professional associations.
  • Maintain CRM records, monitor the pipeline and share market intelligence on trends, competitors and customer feedback with leadership and European headquarters.

Required profile

  • Minimum 5 years of specification sales experience in interior building products, architectural finishes or a closely related field.
  • Proven ability to sell premium products and turn specifications into awarded projects.
  • Experience with independent sales representatives or a multi-market representative network.
  • Strong presentation skills, including lunch-and-learns and product education sessions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; architecture, interior design, business or a related field is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Preferred background

  • Experience selling wood panels, acoustic systems, decorative wall panels or ceiling systems.
  • Exposure to hospitality, workplace, healthcare or education interiors.
  • Experience launching a new product line or entering a new market segment.

What we offer

  • Base salary of $175,000-$200,000 per year, plus a 20% target bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunity to lead the expansion of a premium product line across North America and direct access to senior leadership and international headquarters.
