Banquet House Attendant – Hilton Long Island

About the role

The Banquet House Attendant ensures banquet facilities are clean, well‑prepared, and set up according to event specifications, supporting meetings, weddings, conferences and special events at Hilton Long Island.

Key responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms, ballrooms and meeting spaces following Banquet Event Orders and Hilton brand standards.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors and audiovisual equipment as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all banquet areas before guest arrival.
• Break down and reset rooms quickly after events.
• Assist banquet servers and catering staff with supplies, water service and room refreshes.
• Keep back‑of‑house storage and service corridors tidy.
• Safely handle and move furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lb and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule with availability on nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong teamwork, communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and detail‑oriented.
