Automotive Service Technician

About the role

Jordan Toyota, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is seeking a Service Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in line with dealer and factory standards. The role includes supervising apprentice technicians and ensuring high-quality service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process repair orders, moving vehicles to the appropriate stall.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department, tag warranty parts, and manage parts inventory.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate testing while keeping customer vehicles off personal errands.
• Supervise any assigned apprentice technicians.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, drug testing and pre‑employment assessments.
