Automation Technology Instructor

About the role

The Automation Technology Instructor provides associate‑level instruction in automation, instrumentation, and control systems at Central Georgia Technical College campuses. The role includes developing curricula, evaluating student progress, and may involve mentoring adjunct faculty.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and deliver classroom, lab, and online instruction.
• Maintain grade books, student records, and inventory of assigned property.
• Participate in professional development, accreditation compliance, and departmental meetings.
• Travel between Macon, Warner Robins, and other college sites as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Technology or a closely related field (or equivalent technical certificate plus experience).
• Minimum two years of full‑time work experience in automation or a related discipline.
• Ability to teach all phases of the curriculum and mentor adjunct faculty.
