Automation Technician

About the role

The Automation Technician supports plant operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing automated manufacturing systems and related equipment. The role ensures production systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair automated production equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, drives, power supplies, sensors, gauges, and testing devices.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems to reduce downtime.
• Install, start up, shut down, and adjust automation and electrical systems following company procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, and implementation of new or upgraded automation systems.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training in electrical, automation, or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Effective communication with supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
