ATMC Cu Plate Equipment Technician

About the role

NXP is hiring an ATMC Cu Plate Equipment Technician in Austin. The role focuses on optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) activities, PM kitting and keeping work safety procedures up to date, while maintaining and repairing semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment so production stays running.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and manage parts, assemblies and calibration instruments needed for PM activities, mainly for Novellus Sabre platers, LAM Da Vinci tools, DNS/SCREEN scrubbers and other critical equipment.
• Optimize PM activities and PM kitting, and ensure WSS procedures are well written and updated based on feedback from technicians and tool owners.
• Maintain, monitor and repair semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment to keep production flowing.
• Provide technical support through troubleshooting, diagnostics, adjustments, repair, modification, assembly and calibration of equipment according to specifications, blueprints, manuals or written instructions.
• Perform routine electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of common faults, using structured troubleshooting to find root causes and permanent fixes.
• Keep accurate logs of work performed, modifications, calibrations and adjustments.
• Maintain 5S standards and equipment efficiency requirements.

Required profile

• Experience or knowledge of at least one tool type: Semitool Millennium Platers, DNS/SCREEN Scrubbers 80B and EX tools and/or Novellus Sabre Platers, LAM Da Vinci, TEL Antares.
• Associate's degree plus 2 years of industry experience in a semiconductor fab, or equivalent fab experience as an equipment technician.
• Strong team player who works with supervision to set tool priorities and estimated return times for down equipment.
