About the role
The Athletics Performance Dietitian will join Texas A&M’s Olympic Sports nutrition team to support the health, performance, and well‑being of student‑athletes. Working under the Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition, the role focuses on evidence‑based nutrition counseling, clinical nutrition therapy, and operational support for team fueling.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one nutrition counseling, team talks, and educational materials to enhance athlete health and performance.
- Conduct medical nutrition therapy and manage nutrition‑related clinical concerns in collaboration with sports medicine staff.
- Assess nutrition‑related blood work, recommend supplements, and address micronutrient deficiencies.
- Stay current with research on performance nutrition, weight management, and supplementation.
- Oversee fueling stations, manage inventory, ordering, and execution for assigned Olympic sports.
- Supervise and schedule student nutrition workers, delegating food‑service tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
- Coordinate travel nutrition, gameday fueling, and overall team nutrition logistics.
Required profile
- Works under supervision of the Director of Olympic Performance Nutrition.
- Adheres to department policies and protocols.
