About the role

Moog’s Santa Barbara Operations in Goleta, CA is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join the Space and Defense Group. The role involves developing, integrating and verifying complex hydraulic and electromechanical control systems for mission‑critical military platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and verify complex hydraulic and electromechanical control systems.
• Coordinate design discussions across development teams and Moog sites.
• Create and communicate design requirements and verification plans.
• Develop verification cross‑reference matrices (VCRMs) and test procedures.
• Drive real‑time system model integration for system‑level and unit‑level testing.
• Create automated test scripts and produce concise test reports.
• Support subsystem integration, testing and anomaly investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or a related field.
• Experience in system development and integration.
• Ability to access US export‑controlled information and obtain a U.S. security clearance.
