Associate – Real Assets Credit (Investment Team)

About the role

Blue Owl is seeking an Associate to join its Real Assets Credit investment team in New York City. The role involves supporting senior professionals in sourcing, structuring, and executing a variety of credit investments across the capital structure.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior team members to originate, structure, and execute new investments, focusing on direct lending, preferred equity, loan acquisitions, securitized assets, JV partnerships, and platform opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive due‑diligence, market research, deal negotiation, structuring and financial modeling to develop investment theses.
• Prepare investment memoranda and supporting analysis for the investment committee.
• Participate in portfolio management and asset allocation across multiple strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a top‑tier undergraduate program.
• 2–5 years of experience in real‑estate finance investing, preferably in private equity, private credit, family office, hedge fund, investment banking, institutional brokerage, or REIT acquisitions.
• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively in a team.

What we offer

• Base salary range $150,000–$165,000 per year.
