Associate Engineer Internship – Motor Vehicle Crash Reconstruction

About the role

DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering reconstructs motor vehicle collisions using a team approach that includes senior and associate engineers. As an Associate Engineer Intern you will support fieldwork and analysis with the latest 3D laser scanning, drone, and simulation technologies, while shadowing experienced engineers and contributing to internal documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork and perform analysis using 3D laser scanning, drones, and computer simulations.
• Process and analyze 3D data, scan, file, and archive evidence and equipment.
• Organize evidence, equipment, and warehouse inventory.
• Transfer data and update Delta materials lists.
• Shadow senior engineers during office analysis tasks.
• Participate in a data analysis project from full‑scale vehicle testing.
• Set up basic simulation projects using MADYMO software.
• Prepare internal documentation for training and software evaluation.

Required profile

• Ability to complete administrative duties with accuracy and care.
• Strong interest in forensic engineering and vehicle crash reconstruction.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and support senior engineers.

Required skills

• 3D data processing.
• Experience or familiarity with MADYMO software.
• Use of 3D laser scanning equipment.
• Operation of drones for data capture.
• Computer simulation basics.
